60-MINUTE WEBINARS

Highly informative one-hour online webinars which aim to provide participants with a basic knowledge of the issues and impact of mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

  • Understand your role as a manager in supporting your team’s wellbeing
  • Recognise the role of stress management in maintaining your own mental health as well as that of your team
  • Spot the behavioural signs that a colleague may be struggling with their mental wellbeing
  • How to approach someone who may be experiencing poor mental health
  • Provide accurate options towards recovery, including relevant external and internal resources


WELLBEING AWARENESS AND STRATEGY COURSE FOR MANAGERS

Instructor-led online training, specifically designed for managers, involving break-out exercises, informative videos, interactive participation and the opportunity to apply learned strategy to real case studies. Duration: 3.5hrs.

  • Understanding your role as a manager in supporting your team’s wellbeing
  • Recognising the extent of poor mental health in the workplace and the role stigma plays in preventing early support
  • Spot the behavioural signs that a colleague may be struggling with their mental wellbeing. Focus on depression and anxiety
  • Recognise the role of stress management in maintaining our mental health and experience a stress management tool
  • Plan your approach and be ready to actively listen
  • Learn how to support three potential crises – suicidal thoughts, panic attacks and addiction
  • Provide accurate options towards recovery including relevant external and internal resources
  • Consider your own wellbeing and become aware of your own strengths and boundaries
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions and to interact with peers and colleagues


INTERACTIVE MANAGER TRAINING - FULL OR HALF DAY

Instructor-led online training, specifically designed for managers, involving break-out exercises, informative videos, interactive participation and the opportunity to apply learned strategy to real case studies. Duration 6hrs - over 2 days if necessary - or half day - 3hrs

  • Understand your role as a manager in supporting your team’s wellbeing
  • Recognise the extent of poor mental health in the workplace and the role stigma plays in preventing early support.
  • Spot the behavioural signs that a team member or colleague may be struggling with their mental wellbeing. 
  • Recognise the role of stress management in maintaining our mental health and experience a stress management tool
  • Plan your approach and be ready to actively listen
  • Learn how to support three potential crises – suicidal thoughts, panic attacks and addiction
  • Consider two further situations that can impact the ability to concentrate in the workplace: bereavement and trauma
  • Provide accurate options towards recovery, including relevant external and internal resources
  • Consider your own wellbeing and become aware of your own strengths and boundaries


HALF-DAY REFRESHER COURSE FOR MANAGERS

Three-and-a-half-hour online course which aims to refresh information and skills for managers who may have undertaken one of our other manager courses. Instructor-led, interactive course with opportunities for participant discussion and reflection on lived experience.


SUICIDE AWARENESS AND CRISIS SUPPORT

One in five people will have suicidal thoughts at some point in their lives and yet we don’t talk about it – often until it is too late. Sadly all too many of us will be affected by the suicide of a family member, friend or work colleague.


This 2.5hr Suicide Awareness and Crisis Support course aims to:

  • Equip employees with the confidence to approach a colleague who may be having suicidal thoughts and to offer help and    support
  • Prepare people within your organisation with the necessary skills to support someone impacted by suicide
  • Dispel some of the myths surrounding suicide
  • Open up a discussion around suicide
  • Provide employees with information to increase their general knowledge and understanding of suicide and its social stigma


Having taken our Suicide Awareness and Crisis Support course, delegates from a well-known global science organisation commented:

To assess the impact of the course, we asked our delegates to rate their confidence in supporting a colleague who they think may be considering suicide at the beginning and at the end of the session. All delegates said they were unconfident or very unconfident at the start of the course. All said they felt confident or very confident at the end.

Instructor-led training interspersed with informative videos, break-out discussions and opportunities for interactive participation. Duration 2hrs 15mins

  • Consider your own wellbeing and become aware of your own strengths and boundaries
  • Discussion around mental health and wellbeing under Covid – and beyond
  • Recognise the extent of poor mental health in the workplace and the role stigma plays in preventing early support
  • Spot the behavioural signs that a colleague may be struggling with their mental wellbeing. Brief focus on depression and anxiety
  • Recognise the role of stress management in maintaining our mental health and experience a stress management tool
  • Look at ways to approach and talk to a colleague who may be experiencing poor mental health and be ready to actively listen
  • Be able to signpost a colleague to appropriate internal and external resources to support them
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions and to interact with peers and colleagues

For young people - The Waiting Room free workshops

In addition to our work with corporate clients, we have developed a series of short workshops aimed at supporting young people who are being impacted by life's events and who are facing a delay accessing mental health services.

The Waiting Room

This is a series of 4 interactive online workshops aiming to support people between the ages of 16 and 24 who are experiencing a period of poor mental health and either awaiting referrals to professional services or who simply need some support managing their lives.


Our next series of FREE 1 hour support workshops start on the first Wednesday of each month at 6.30pm for four weeks in 2023. 


The 4 Zoom sessions are run by qualified counsellors who will offer support and advice on such areas as:

  • Understanding and managing the physical and psychological impact
  • What does medication do?
  • Tools to support you to take back control 
  • Options for self and group support
  • Moving towards recovery
